Anti-flood embankments and promenade

Can scars infrastructure be softened ? When the widening of a road cut brutally city of Redon the way to the banks of the Vilaine, a “work of ar ” – literally – restores access to banks. The horizontal black shadows of its concrete slabs are the memory of floods, it is anti-flood embankment, it is walking, it is trace of ripple over water, long line of landscape, it connects the city to its natural base and reminds us what any infrastructure should offer.
